The International Journal of Volunteer Administration
The next generation of the former Journal of Volunteer Administration, IJVOA is now a refereed electronic publication of the Department of 4-H Youth Development at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. Launched in July 2006, it is available at no charge for the first four issues at http://www.ijova.org/.

Published by the Global Service Institute, USA, in partnership with Volunteer and Service Enquiry Southern Africa (VOSESA), Johannesburg, South Africa (as of September 2003), focused on the latest developments in service policy and programmes, and on the impact of service on democratic values, citizenship and socio-economic development. Each edition seeks to develop new knowledge by analysing the experience of service and volunteerism in different parts of the world.  Free on Web site or at cost for print-on-demand.

Voluntary Action: The Journal of the Institute for Volunteering Research

Published three times a year as a "forum for informed discussion about volunteering, offering high-quality articles based upon careful research and written in a style accessible to practitioners, policy makers, and researchers alike."

As of 2006, Voluntary Action has moved to an online publication. A subscription, single issues, or single articles can be purchased and abstracts of articles may be viewed at no cost at:  http://www.ivr.org.uk/voluntaryaction/.
