Betty Jane Richmond

Betty Jane (B.J.) Richmond is an assistant professor in the Faculty of Education of York University teaching in theareas of inclusive, community, and adult education. For her doctorate, she developed a social audit model – the community social return on investment model – to assess the impacts of a nonprofit training organization, work which received ARNOVA’s Outstanding Dissertation award for 1999. That framework and the model provided the impetus for the book What Counts.
