This free report is a sneak preview of a new book by Betty Stallings, currently in development and to be published by Energize. The book is being written primarily for and to CEOs and discusses why investing in volunteer programs brings huge dividends to an organization. It also describes the key actions that need to be taken by CEOs to increase the effectiveness of volunteer engagement and numerous ways to diminish identified barriers.

Betty asked hundreds of colleagues to nominate executives they considered to be exceptionally supportive of their volunteer programs and of the managers of those programs. The 50 CEOs identified as such “Volunteer Program Champions” then were invited to complete an extensive written survey to uncover and assess their actions regarding volunteers. All this research surfaced the “12 key actions” reported in this new publication.
