Many are called a variation of "volunteer center," These are nonprofit or public agencies, not membership associations for volunteer resources managers.

Points of Light is the parent body of HandsOn Network and coordinates a variety of special programs designed to boost American volunteerism. Thery are responsioble for National Volunteer Week celebrations each April and run something called the Civic Incubator to give a home to new projects.
